This was the game during which I took a long call from the superintendent as he brought me up to date on the then current situation.
The PCs were fighting against an Evil Overlord, and exactly who would be the Chosen One was not predetermined. Crucificato was the EO's son, as I recall, and the PCs started separated. I recall Galeron being threatened by soldiers of the EO.
Galeron: My sword has tasted the blood of many of your kind. It is at rest, but I will wake it if I must.
Naturally, the scene ended with him slaughtering the men.
Oilell's family had been killed by the EO's men, as had most of her village. Her demon was a wolf, whom she decided was her child, as the EO's men had killed her son as well.
All but two of the PCs got together under the spiritual leadership of Crucificato. Galeron tried to forge the general mooks of the resistance into an army. Crucificato eventually had enough power to determine who the chosen one was. He named T'kulrelba, one of the two PCs who were not with the army. This is what I consider an example of good play, as it brings in another player and gives him a clear line on being cool.
When the army, now including all but one of the PCs, finished breaking though into the EO's tower, Crucificato brought the lone PC front and center. This PC was Tumen, who had entered the tower earlier and alone, and who had been fighting in his own way.
Crucificato: The warrior in the basement fighting his own private war -- he is the only reason our attack was at _all_ successful!
Once the dust had settled, someone, possibly Crucificato, noted: And now it is the dark lord trapped in the tower in his despair.
Someone: I think I just killed my character. (I forget the context here.)
The EO protested when some of the PCs came for him. He wanted eternal life.
Crucificato: Well -- all things must die -- and now it is your turn. This way (indicates the window) or this (indicates the wolf).
Oilell: My son is hungry.
The EO refused to make a choice, so Crucificato made it for him.
Crucificato: We die together.
He jumped out the window with his father, the Evil Overlord. Crucificato's demon left him on the way down.
This was a very satisfying session, although it did not feel especially like a _Sorcerer_ session, more like fine pulp fantasy.
