- The last ruler of the faeries was Queen Titania
- She was killed during the reign of Elizabeth I
- The Regent is Seigh Mulligan
- Titania had offspring, and they had children of their own. Most are dead. However, one granddaughter is unaccounted for.
- The Irish Act of Union in 1800 meant that the English, Welsh, Scottish, and Irish faeries and their lands were likewise unified.
- There are, of course, faeries in London. They seem (1841) preoccupied with matters they are unwilling to discuss.
- Maeve's fae seem _very_ protective of her, more so than usual. Hypothesis: Whatever may be going on, they want her out of it.
