New page

10 pm: Muffins

After this, I went to the room where Parsley Muffins was supposed to be run by Andrew Looney. Three of us were there, but no GM. I went to the Looney Lab, discovering that the program book didn't know what it was talking about. Parsley Muffins was being run in the Lab.

Fortunately, for us, at least, Andrew had to restart the game, and he held off on that until everyone had been collected from across the sky bridge. A Parsley game, if I understand correctly, is done in the style of a computer text adventure. Certainly, this one was. We all sat in a circle. Andrew played the computer, and wet went around the circle, each person taking a turn as the user, giving the computer one instruction.

I took advantage of sitting next to Josh to ask him want to do, as I didn't want to undo what had already been accomplished. Sometimes, there was a bit of confusion as one person accidentally backtracked, not realizing the group was aiming for a particular place. But, we were able to complete the adventure in a reasonable amount of time -- enough to feel like we'd accomplished something, but not so much as to get frustrated.
