Dear Walter,

After all these years, I had almost given up hope. But, you sent me
a sign. I know now what is real. Thank you, thank you, my dear, dear
friend.

I will still take my pills, as the doctors want. I know that I cannot
do the work myself. I know that this is the safest place for me. But,
I told them what they needed to know, and I told them where to find the
rest.

It is up to them now, isn't it? I know you feel it, too. But, you gathered
them to finish the work. It falls to them, now. Let us hope they are ready,
more ready than we were.

I will sleep less easily, but more soundly now. Thank you for sending word
that you have not forgotten me. I understand why you could not write directly.

Your Friend,

	Douglas
