Here's where we can put links to character sheets and sessions and the like.

Player Characters

  • Kid Guardian has connections with Guardian and is a member of the Olympian (aka Atlantean) legacy. The Olympian legacy is an ancient, largely heroic one, and in the last century has slowly become less reticent about its operations.
  • Void Jaguar has Peruvian ties, with, I believe professorial parents that came to the United States who proceeded to find better luck in food service than academia. They currently have a few 3 or 4 ceviche food trucks working Halcyon City. Other than parents, Void has a few siblings. Got their powers - a Jaguar-y shape, and life-absorbing powers - through miscommunication with alien entities. The aliens did not turn about to be friendly, and seem to want to use Void for their own nefarious purposes. On top of that, another group of evil Astronomers knows something about this and also hopes to use Void for their own nefarious purposes.
  • Luminess - Luminess is better known as Elisia Sevialle. As Luminess, has the power to absorb and control light energy. Not sure how the powers came to be, as there was no immediately obvious reason. However, knows the wealthy (through real estate), politically-aspiring family would be strongly against any involvement with super-heroism. Her mother seems to be snobbish and unpleasant, but maybe it's a result of unconsciously knowing her daughter is keeping important secrets from them...
  • Impact is Jibril Jones, who came by their superheroic abilities follow a traumatic kidnapping and human experimentation. The Guardian rescued Jibril from certain death, leaving a positive impression and, perhaps, a model for what to do with their super-strength. Who were these kidnappers? And why were they doing what they were doing?

NPCs

  • Olympians:
    • Guardian - considered one of the big three heroes of Earth. She leads the Olympian legacy from a base in Halcyon City.
    • Stormbringer (Ret.)- Guardian's predecessor, currently retired and living at Elysian Fields Rest Home in Halcyon City.
    • The Underlord - has a minion gang known as the Hellions
  • Onyx Mask - an early local supporter of Collidoscope; known for being a "dark hero"
  • Rage (deceased) - a young hero with fire-related powers and a short temper. Vanished in an attack by the Wastrel.
  • Mx Yang - the PC's much loved teacher, who has coincidentally placed our four protagonists in their own work-study group for the school year.
  • Archangel - currently interstellar, looking for data on the alien threat. Keeps the United Nations updated on what she finds. Considered one of the big three heroes of Earth.
  • The Red Star - the Soviet superhero. The Soviet Union, despite significant international economic and military aid, still bears scars as the main front against the alien invasion of the '80s. Red Star, along with the Soviet government in exile, has since moved their base to western China to manage terraforming and governance of the USSRs from a less chaotic base. Considered one of the big three heroes of Earth.
  • Doctor Joy - Dr. Jocylin Mathers, despite only being in her late 20s, is a well-known local super-psychologist with mind-reading and empathic abilities; she can only perceive the thoughts and feelings of others through focus, skill, and training. She cannot transmit. She makes a point of checking in with regular folks in the aftermath of super-villain attacks.
  • Wastrel - a local villain, known for temporarily aging club-goers for what's assumed to be some sort of psychic vampire thing. Very little known about this person.
  • Gravestone - a nationally-feared villain, imprisoned more than once, known for "transmuting a mass of intelligent life" (i.e. killing young people) for fairly obscure, but presumably disgusting, personal power. Rumored to have been around since at least the '40s, if by another name. That said, has fought the alien threat.

Organizations/Places

  • The Halcyon Academy - considered the finest secondary school in Halycon City. Has a large endowment, and a history which extends reliably to at least the American Civil War. Several heroes (and admittedly, some villains) have attended this school. It's been successful enough to have started satellite campuses both in Halcyon City and in other large metropolises.
  • The Silver Shield - a overarching multi-group supers' group, which formed to fight the last major alien invasion in the '80s. Silver Shield is normally activated only by call of the United Nations Security Council in case of a direct alien threat. All supers - hero or villain - can declare membership when Silver Shield is activated and are supposed to work cooperatively in those cases. Headquartered in Halcyon City.
  • Halcyon City - a large metropolis not too far from the Canadian border, known for the largest concentration of supers on the planet - both villain and hero.
  • The United Nations, often shorthand for the United Nations Security Council - the forefront of coordinating humanity against what is believed - with some compelling evidence - to be the still-present alien threat. Headquartered in New York City.
  • The Republics of Canada - other their reputation for politeness and their outsize economic weight in technology industries, Canada is known as the most pro-alien country on Earth. Strangely, questioning the need for hostility towards aliens is an impression most of Canadians seem to share. (Native American colonialism was less successful. Atlantic Canada maintains a relationship with the British crown, the rest doesn't. The province of Manitoba is the Republic of Keewatin. The Republic of Nunavut organized after WWI. While the population is low, standard of living from Churchhill north and northeast to Resolute and Iqaluit is the highest in North America due to a cultural affinity and advancements in zero-impact high-technology.)
